ABIA 2023: MORE TROUBLE IN ABIA AS FORMER GOVERNOR DISAGREES WITH PDP DECISION

 The former governor of Abia State, Senator Theodore Orji has said that the power sharing formula for Abia governorship in 2023 should go to Abia North.



In a statement signed by the Senator, he argued that he had made his position clear on the matter before, and has not changed it.

Abia State PDP recently zoned the state gubernatorial seat to both Abia North and Abia Central, a development which has not gone down well with many political leaders of the party with some reacting against it.

1. My attention has been drawn to the News on Social Media Platforms and Handles concerning Abia State Governorship and where it is zoned to.


2. Let me state categorically clear that my earlier position on the subject matter remains sacrosanct and unambiguous.


3. All those working to set Abia State on fire should toe the path of peace, do a rethink and sustain the peace we have been savouring as God’s State.

There Is Nothing Wrong With Okezie Ikpeazu Handing Over To His Ngwa Brother - Apugo

The member representing Umuahia East State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Chukwudi Apugo is cautioning the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Abia State chapter to be fair in dealing with issues surrounding their choice of candidates in the 2023 general elections. Hon Apugo advised while interacting with our correspondent in Umuahia. According to him, considering Abia State senatorial districts, Abia North should produce the Governor candidate and argued that by Abia charter of equity, the Old Aba division from Ngwa central should produce the next governor. Ekwueme Ohafia Dumps Party, Appreciate Supporters

The former Transition Chairman, Ohafia Local Government & the New Nigeria People's Party Arochukwu/Ohafia House of Representatives candidate in the last 2023 general elections, Chief Fred Eke Idika, Ekwueme Ohafia, has resigned his membership of the party. In a statement made available to journalists in Umuahia by his media office, Chief Idika said that his resignation was after due consultations with his constituents & thanked the party for providing him the platform to contest the last election.  The former Transition Chairman commended his supporters for their steadfastness & charged them to remain calm & wait on the next line of action. The resignation letter was addressed to the Chairman, NNPP, Ebemoha ward & copied to the National Chairman of the Part. Chief Fred Idika is known to command wide followship in the local government.
