2023: HON. ORJI PICKS PDP EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AND NORMINTION FORM, PROMISES TO SERVE ABIANS

Responding to journalist shortly after picking the form, Hon. Orji said he was running for the office of the governor out of a strong sense of duty to serve Abians with an unrivaled patriotic zeal.

Being from Abia North senatorial zone, he said he understands the infrastructural deficit that dots every nook and cranny of Abia State, especially in Abia North.

According to him, he understands the near-comatose condition of our primary and secondary schools in the entire State.

Speaking further he said his "experience as one that has served as a legislator in this state, he understands the inevitability and centrality of the legislature in identifying key areas for urgent infrastructural attention."

He further said that he will demystify the office of the governor so there could be interaction between him, his office and the subject people.

"Subscription to periodic accountability to Abians will be second to none.

" I will tackle social insecurity and make civil servants live up to their bidding through a process of reward and sanction system," he added.

He reiterated his resolve to have all past Major office holders from the state on board as they will be constituted as an advisory council to guide him in deciding some matters that are of urgent state importance and while vowing that there would be no time to witch hunt people but to carry everyone on board as we need all hands to be on deck for a progressive and prosperous Abia.
