As we count down to the primary elections, Prof. Uche Eleazar Ikonne, the frontline PDP governorship hopeful and his campaign trail had toured the 17 local governments in Abia state in their effort to woo the delegates and also pass the message of hope and development to Abians.

Prof. Ikonne's declaration was widely received with great joy and expectation, in some local governments the consultative visits were turned into a carnival of sorts, with traditional rulers, women, and children all lined up to welcome the man God has ordained to transform Abia. cultural dances were on display, he was decorated with chieftaincy titles, and there is no point re-echoing the already established fact that Prof. Ikonne's ambition was greatly welcome across Abia state. 

One thing that is remarkable and stands Prof. Ikonne out from the other aspirants is that wherever he went, from Ukwa East to Arochukwu, he has relationships with a lot of people and they tell a lot of pleasant stories about their experiences with the erudite Professor of Optometry 

While other aspirants engage in propaganda and lies, Prof. Ikonne's message is laced with patriotism, transformation, and vision. 

while others are coming with promissory notes, Prof. Ikonne came with verifiable achievements, capacity, and experience.

The message has been passed, the vision is to place Abia on a faster lane of development where every Abian will be productive.
